Has any one ever seen a case like this.. It matches the the Companies Logo and the picture that was on some of the composition dials..

That beautiful dustproof 15 Jewel Keystone Hunter-cased with Mint Keystone hands sold for $142.00 andf actually represents a far more collectible Keystone than the Ashland Investment unit on eBay that is selling for four times as much.

Hi John, I thought it was a very interesting watch as well. So I put a bid and won. Believe me I was surprised to see I had won the watch at $142.00

By the way it is my first old Keystone.

Leon,

I think you have gotten a great buy.. I do have a couple of examples of these Dust proofs..Not one with a case like that though.. Check that hand set..I am sure you will be happy with this one..

Great buy! I have one with the same case, which I discussed in this thread. I don't recall what I paid but I'm sure it was more than $142!

Hello all. I think I am the odd man out again because my Keystone is not dustproof. It is an 18 size hunter with nickle plates in a R/Gold Victory case. At first I thought something was missing but on closer inspection I can not find any unused holes where something else should be. There is no listing in the price book for this version. Has anyone else got one?

I have a Keystone Standard pocket watch Serial No. 331552 that would have been manufactured earlier than the one being discussed. It is in a gold filled Hunter case made by J. Muhr and Brothers Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

here is a picture of the dial. It is my understanding that these watches were sold by Watch Clubs where you could make a payment every payday and receive your watch when it was paid for. The NAWCC Bulletin had an article on these clubs, and I probably have some advertisements

My Keystone watch is puny compared to those posted above by Larry and Rene. Nevertheless, I post these two pictures of my Keystone just for the record. They might not be "rare", but few seem to have them Smile

This watch is working and keeping time to about 2 minutes a day. It has not been cleaned for the 15 years it has been in my possession. Dial has a couple of flea bites, and as I mentioned in the pictures below, it is a hunter movement in an OF case. The double hinged case is marked, "Rockford coin silver".

If any believe this watch could be of use to them, let me know and I will put it in the members only auction and start the bidding at $70.00

This is the dial to the above Keystone watch. It is a single sunk dial.

So beautiful! Those "Keystone" hands are magnificent. The lettering on your plate stands out so nicely, too. The plate on my example looks like it might have been washed so many times that any color it once had is now gone. Also, the damaskeening is very shallow on my piece.

I want to comment on that so-called "patent regulator": how does that work? Is that a screw next to the regulator? Looks like a person has to take the watch out of the case to do any regulating. Not practical.
