The Elgin keywind I picked up has this marking, with a magnifier it almost looks like those hats that British soldiers wore in the revolutionary war, or a least that is what it reminds me of.

And yes buttheads could not go with just one line they had to really scrape it.

Looks like someone was interested to see if it was 18k solid gold with those nasty scratches on the inside lid.

They were going at it hard and heavy. You would think one would be good enough but they are some deep gouges.

Does it look like the marks listed here for Keystone on page 136? If not you can search the .pdf for others.
