Steve GossardSwiss Elgin
This watch was given to me by a very good friend before she died. She used it when her eyesight began to fade because the dial was so easy to read. I don't know anything about the swiss Elgins. I would appreciate anything you could tell me about it.

John Elgin CranfillJust add that these are nice little 50s era carry watches, and most of them I've seen have the Montgomery dial, like this one, and the Elgin dp (Durapower mainspring) dial marking, and are in really good shape. I keep thinking I'll buy one of these on E... but each time the price goes over the limit I put on it.
