Richard RomeroInteresting Canadian Engraving
Recently, I got a Bunn Special case with Canadian markings. Can anyone can tell me about an engraving of C A M C and BRITISH EMPIRE SERVICE LEAGUE CANADIAN LEGION? There is also the number 535432 on the case back.
Thank you in advance,
RR

Buster BeckHey Richard !!
Nice Pick
The aim of the BESL was to provide care, employment and housing. In South Africa the Legion was equal to the challenge. It built on the foundation and continued this good work after World War Two. Thousands of men and women have been assisted in all manner of means and this work carries on to-day. Former National Servicemen and those who were part of the Armed Struggle are assisted with advice and direction.
Sorta like the Veterans Admin. akaVA in the U.S.
regards,
bb

Richard RomeroThank you everyone for the information.
It would be great if a Legion members name could be traced to the # on the case back. I sent the following E-mail to the Legion link Tom posted. If they provide a name I'll post it.
E-mail to legion
Recently I bought a pocket watch and it has your logo engraved on the back of it. There is also the number 535432 engraved on the back. I'm wondering if that's a members number and if the watch may have been given as a presentation or award? Is there any information you could provide about the number? I can send pictures of the watch if you like.
Thank you,
Rich
