Edward L. Parsons, Jr.My Latest Hamilton . . .
I just picked up a Hamilton 952L in a nice crossbar case (see photo). The 952 has always been a favorite of mine because its basically a 950 minus a handful of inconsequential cap jewels.
The movement #1151461 dates it to 1919 and the case is 1924, but these bridge movements were slow selling and there are no extra marks, so I believe the case to be original.
Well it's got a hairline in the dial and some chipping along the edge of the crystal, but the case and movement are very nice and I got it for less than low book.

Eric UnseltSharp example, Ed!
I always like the bridge movements because they show more of the guts than partial-plate movements. The winding wheels look nice and clean, too.

Bruce ByrdWhich watch models come in that case? I've seen a few on eBay... I just didn't know if the listed watch was supposed to be in that case (ie 992E in model 2 or 10, etc)

Robert McClellandThere were apparently a few 952's sold in yellow GF RR (crossbar) cases in 1925 according to Halligan's notes but the majority that were factory cased would have been in the earlier versions of the Hamilton cases. The crossbar cases were used by the factory on 992's and 996's in 1925.

Tony DukesVery nice 952 Ed. My 952 is serial number 785184 and it is pendant set. I will have to put a lever set 952 on my wish list. Thanks for showing your 952 to us.
