That looks like a great looking watch, and it is no doubt very RARE, because it likely is the only one known with this Ateel escape wheel.
Nice clean looking watch, nice pick.

Steel Escape Wheel. Harder and more precise than a brass escape wheels used in lower grade watches.

Here's your steel escapement wheel Roger. It's the first little gear in the gear train with the white arrow.

Some were brass before RR standards started required a steel escapement wheel. Then most all the manufacturers went to the steel wheel on all their lines of watches.

Thank you guys.I knew it had a steel escape wheel but I did't or don't know what ateel is.Perhaps a play on words by Hampden or a mis-spelling?
