Larry LamphierThanks Debbie and Jon.
I was pretty surprised to see it, as my Real Estate agent just brought some "old" watches in a bag to show me and see if they were worth anything. I guess her Grand Mother had given them to her to get rid of. They were mostly dollar watches. I pulled out a Hamilton 917, and then I saw this pendent watch. I was pretty surprised when I took a closer look. That one I couldn't tell her what it was worth.

Larry

Peter KaszubskiNice one and Mike is right I know guy that I bought some watches from that he got rip off of a Patek he told me
that some guys came in to look at his collection and once they left Patek was gone with them.
Word of advice, what I do I count all the watches before I do estimate and after so both parties are
on same page.

Larry LamphierEven better, Make a list of them with the make and serial number and date. Then you both sign it.

Larry

Peter Kaszubskiyes but if the collection contain more them 100 watches the best practice will be to count and agree on the count with the owner.

Larry LamphierI hear you Peter, but what happens if someone says that you switched the Patek with another pendent watch?

I'm lucky so far, as no one has ever brought me that many watches, but if they ever did I think that I would INSIST that they were listed by serial number at least.
To much at risk. Why take the chance.

Larry
