Did I Just Break This Canon Pinion?
I just finished cleaning my first Model 92 ...

... and when I went to put the canon pinion on it had no "grip". There was a tiny rectangle of metal in the cleaner basket and there's an open space on the canon pinion, so I'm thinking it was a vertical tension spring.

Opinions?

Eric,

The piece you found is what is missing on your canon pinion. There are different designs and this one does break on occasion. It may have been worn thin on the backside. You shouldn't have any problem with a replacement.

If you have a staking set, you can actually (try to) make that one work. send me your phone and when I can call to david@glopar.com if you want to discuss that.

Thanks, Roger.

Dave, I've got a K&D 18R Inverto staking set on my to-buy list, but I don't have one yet.

Does anybody have a pinion?
