I picked up a neat one last week ,{and its not a lancaster} It is an Illinois Lakeshore p/l 17jewel ,triple sighned, in a silver case -I think . I found a good bit of info on the Lakeshore railway ,I hope that is what the watch means ?

Lorne WasylishenTriple signed watch, excellent!
Illinois Lakeshore #1895034
Kevin, when you post a watch please include the serial number, it makes it much easier to find as it will show up in a search.
From the Illinois Blue Book, assuming you do not have one.

Edward A. HustonI have to share just because I'm so tickled to have one. I just got this Hampden in the mail earlier this week. I'm from NE Ohio and worked in Canton, so I've been wanting one of these.
April 14, 2017, 15:37
Edward A. HustonIt looks a little better without the crystal. Definitely need that replaced along with a nice COA. It has a little dial damage, but I'm just fine with that!
April 14, 2017, 15:41
Edward A. HustonWilliam McKinley #3109661. I know it isn't the top of the line for Hampden but I'm still really happy to have it. Now I just need to find a Columbus Watch!
April 15, 2017, 04:29
Bila WirriganwaltersI could be wrong Ed but I think that dial is from a lower grade "General Stark", otherwise a nice tidy little pick-up.
April 17, 2017, 10:39
Edward A. HustonWell, that's a little bit of a bummer, but that's ok. I'm still happy I got it. So now I have this one and an ornate little Diadem so I think I'm good on Hampdens right now. Out of curiosity, do you have any idea what the correct dial should look like?
Thanks for the input Bila.
Ed

Claude GriffithHampden's are nice watches, and I also have the 15-17j Columbus open faces. For the Ohio area I try to pick up the private label watches. I a very nice Rockford from North Amherst (Amherst) and a beaut of a two tone 17j Illinois hunter also from Ohio. I have been transferred more than once so now I have to pick up some Michigan private labels.

Mike HodgeI picked up a Bunn Special, 161A today (Monday). Will photo it and post pics tomorrow. Here are a few photos, not the best effort in photography but you get the point. I already have a 161A in a "pagoda" 107 case so will probably put it on the block.

Kevin Hoffmanthat is one nice Bunn , that dial seems almost to good . When I get a cherry it gets wrapped and put away !
On the hampden dial ,I wish there was info out there , I have seen that dial on quite a few models , the gen stark like Bila said and a Dueber , and 2 Mckinlys , I have no idea who is right .
April 18, 2017, 15:24
Mike HodgeKevin, here is the dial on my Wm McKinley. I've always believed it to be correct. Yes I agree the dial on my new Bunn Sp. is very nice. I see no HLs or chips. Only wish it said 21 jewel Bunn Special 60 hour!!!!

Buster BeckHere is a "BUNN" Grade Illinois in the very early gilt plates, a Model 3 O/F with 17 Jewels !! There were a total of only 2,573 produced Bunn's with gilt plates ! Of those 2,063 were Models 1&2 in 15 Jewel configurations with 1,183 in KW-KS and all the Model 1&2's were hunting case watches ! In Open Face with Gilt plates only 510 were ever made and they were all in 17 jewel configuration and lever-set.
