Dave TurnerHampden - What is it?
Just bought this Hampden and hoping for the best, but who knows?
Anyway, since it won't arrive for a few days does anyone care to guess what it is? No serial number available or picture of the movement.
I'm guessing it's a 12s 21J John Hancock??!! (based on the double sunk dial and the hands)
I will give you an update when I get it.

Jim BielefeldtIf its a guessing game, based on the size of the seconds sub dial I would say its a 12s. Most likely a 17j dueber grand. Based on the dial alone I would also guess that the movement is one that the winding and ratchet wheels are not exposed.

Richard M. JonesHmmmmmm OK I will go for a Dueber Grand and I have seen those hands in 12 size and to my recollection they were on a Dueber Grand. x

Dave TurnerLooks like the winner is Jim and Deacon.
It's a 17j 12s Dueber Grand - pendant set OF. Not the John Hancock I was hoping for. But it runs!

Dave TurnerThanks guys, The case is nothing to write home about. It's a Gibraltar with a lot of brassing, but shines up with a little polish. What attracted me to it was the hands and the double sunk dial.
