Pocket Watch Parts identification
I won a large box of US pocket watches balances, partsfrom EBAY.
For me US pocket watches are 80% Elgin and Waltham. I received completely different parts.
I hope somebody is able to inform me to which pocket watch these parts belongs.

Thank you.

I see that the balances are solid not spilt like most of the american balances are, probaly swiss balances,,The wheels with the heart shaped cams are probaly from a chronograph watch .

Maybe someone else can give you some more info but that,s my guess. Smile

These appear to be single roller balances. Not knowing the diameter and judging from the excessive balance weighting I suggest they are for a timer or other device not used for serious timkeeping but rather bombs or stopwatches.

The wheels with springs in the fourth picture are from a split seconds chronograph. Those with the big teeth are register wheels from chronographs.

The 'timing screws' are just decoration; the poising was done by drilling holes in the balance rims; all timer stuff.

Thank you very much for all valuable informations.
In this case if possible I will try to use hairsprings.
