Bila Wirriganwaltersre: 18s 21 Jewel Bunn special
Would anyone be able to tell me the total amount of the 21 jewel 18s 6 positions Model 6 Bunn Specials that were made. The pocketwatch database says over 380,000 but that includes the 16s as well and I think there were many more of those made.
Thanks to All,
Bila

David AbbeBila, My 2013 updated database reports 100 made total, all in one rn in 1895. They are pictured as Two-Tone and in the serial number range: 1285501-1285700. Evidently the actual numbers of 21 Jewel movements made were short of the total 200 serial numbers assigned.

Edward L. Parsons, Jr.David,
Every 18S 21-jewel Bunn Special made after about 1906 (movement numbers > 1.8 - 1.9 million) was marked "Adjusted 6 Positions" because time service rules were changed to require the number of positions to be marked, and these watches were all adjusted 6 positions. I'd need to do some research to find the exact number produced, but it has to be a lot more than 100 watches.
Before the rule change they were all just marked "Adjusted."

Tom DunnBila; Yours falls into a wide range, there's the 2 tone, bright spotted pattern, narrow pattern, circular pattern, sounds like you have the bright spotted fourth pattern, there were 6000 of those made according to the blue book.
Dave; Where can I get the database? I'd like to own one.

David AbbeOf that type, (bright spotted 4th pattern model 6) the database reports 4328 made in the s/n range 1278201-1730600 from 1895-1904 with yours made in a 200 piece run in 1903.
