Chris AbellVery nice watch, I maybe looking to find one myself soon. According to Shugart these started at No 1,001 in 1921, was wondering how many was made and over how many years. When I disassembled this watch I was surprised to see many modern watch features, first was the press pin release for the stem common current day movements, the click arrangement also a modern floating type lever, not to mention the pressed jewels. Often overlooked many Howard’s where way ahead of the rest in design.

I think the serial numbers went up to 100,000.
However these were relatively expensive watches (as most were in solid gold cases) and I doubt 100K were actually produced.
