Mary Ann ScottThat is a very interesting case! Besides looking to be in very good condition, the one side with the elk would appeal to men and the other side, with flowers, would appeal to women. I like it!

Phillip SanchezHere is samie's Ebay ID. He does not have the watch listed, he is just a tease. And rich

Mike LaForestI heard Sammie shows favoritism to those who live closest to him. Makes sense to me. On with the auction!

Jerry KingI agree that is a nice looking watch and that Samie is teasing us....however, that is the strangest looking Elk I think I have ever seen....
His butt is straight at you as is his head and the head looks like the face of a wolfhound and the neck muscles are really straining also....anyway is a very interesting piece....
Thanks, Samie.... and why not put it up at auction here at 185...?
Regards,
Jerry

ya right old man you and the other old man are the ones with plenty of $$$ I am in the poor class trying to make enough to feed my kids once a day. I cant wait until phil buys another house up by me so I can hit him up for a free lunch once in a while so I can have a change from the free bolonga ends I get free from the local deli on the day old bread.

Phillip SanchezI am also a bidder. First thing you know Samie will get run over out there picking up cans.
Rob, when I get up there I will meet you at the Murphy flea market.

Lunch is on me.

Tom BrownOh, I am not going to bid, I usually just do the buy it now thing.
Tom

Ernie LogaYou guys talk about being poor. I have been picking up pop cans all summer. But now with the price of gas so high I can't afford to take them to the recyclers to get my 50 cents.
October 30, 2009, 17:13
Leonard AbbottHi Guys,
I was the first bidder on this, I saw the buy it now for the $275.00 and I am guilty for spoiling that by thinking I could get it a little cheaper by bidding. I didn't know who was who and what was what, I had no way of knowing who the silver lady was. You all know how ebay is, you don't know what you are getting. Sorry if I have spoiled this for anyone.
Leonard

Tom BrownHey Leonard
You didn't spoil the fun, now it will be fun to see who gets it & how high it goes. As I said I am not bidding but remember Phil has deep pockets.

Leonard Abbotthi tom,
i thought you were kidding when you said you wouldnt be bidding. i have 18 of these type cases in all sizes. i would have more but, leaving to go to work dont always work out the best for bidding.

Jerry KingNo, Leonard, you haven't spoiled the fun at all, in fact you have made it more interesting....
I know that Phil is bidding, from his on admission, and I, too, am one of the bidders....
And the GAME BEGINS....

Jerry

Tom BrownWell it did well, went for over the buy it now price. So who won it?
Tom
November 02, 2009, 16:35
Samie L. SmithTom one of our members won the auction i better let him Post his name.

November 02, 2009, 16:51
Mike LaForestI confess. It was moi who won this watch & case. I chalk this great win up to "novice bidding".
This will be my first sterling silver multicolor case, and I can't thank Sammie enough for putting it on auction. Anyone here traveling into the Smokies/Gatlinburg area is very welcome to stop in and look it over closely some day.

Jerry KingHey Mike, so you are the 'sniper' that won it on you only bid.... Way to go, I was the one you snipped out....but that's okay, you won a very nice case, for sure....
Regards,
Jerry
November 02, 2009, 20:52
Mike LaForestHi Jerry!
Yes, I guess I have to plead guilty to sniping, but as I told Samie, I like multicolor cases and I didn't have a
sterling multi-color until now. I think these sterling multicolors are relatively rare, so I bid accordingly.
Samie, if you are looking at this, I am posting a picture of an 18s, multicolor hunter case, with a 15J, GM Wheeler movement that looks like it belongs in Kentucky. If youse gots some other multicolor you might wanna trade for it, maybe we can talk.
The next picture describes the case with a watch paper.
