14K Hamilton 950
This is one of my favorites. A 950 in a solid 14K Hamilton case with box and paper showing matching numbers. I'm trying to get info on the people in the engraving. I tried a google search to no avail. Any suggestions?

Could you type out what the engraving says? I will see what I can find but I can't quite make out the spelling of the person that gave the watch.

Thanks

Think this is going to be a tough one, so far there was a Doctor W.B. Thompson in Brooklyn New York in the early 1900's but trying to connect him to the other person is going to take some time.

I will keep working on it but it might take several days to see if I can find more.

Nice watch by the way, if Mr. Dillmeier was a patient of Dr. Thompson he was very wealthy.

Still a long shot, but there was a Edward Dillmeier in New York City born 1863 & still in business in the early 1900's, was president of the Eureka Glass Works Brooklyn NY.

You don't have any idea where this came from do you? An estate some where or something to help narrow down the possible location.

I keep trying searches different ways, I might get luck, sometimes it takes me thinking up a way to search that I hadn't tried yet.

Tom,

I bought the watch off of E-Bay a few years ago. The seller was in Canada but I don't think he had owned it very long.

Thanks for the reply Ray, that's very interesting, where is Richmond Hill?

? are the hands and dial original to this watch?

The serial number on the movement is 1020509, the case is 6589780. There is no way of knowing for sure if the dial is original. The style is not normally seen on a 950. I have a 956 that has this on it. I have been told by people in the know, however, that the this dial was available when the watch was produced and could have been a choice for the customer.
