Although I had to cut back on my acquistions I could not resist this Hampden 19j adj to 5 Positions Paul Revere in a 14kt white gold case.

I also have one in Green Gold.

While the Paul Revere is not that scarce I have only seen a few 19j in this style of hand carved case.

This thin movement was Hampdens best and typically sold for $105 to $125 in 1925.

It was the magnificient dials and cases on these thin model Hampdens that sparked my intial interst in Hampden.

That's a real beauty Bob. I'll guess that ole CC only took it out for Church. That was something very special in it's day. Glad to see it's found the right owner.

I can see why you couldn't resist it. I have never seen numbers shaped like that before.

I love Art Deco 12s watches. This is probably the nicest example I've seen to date.

Regards! Mark

Bob,

That one would be a star in any 12s collection. The case looks like it is lined with small diamonds all around the edges and the dial is truly a work of art. Smile

Nice find as usual!
