I've only seen the Illinois Bunn Special 161A in pictures. This is the first I've seen in person and had to have it. Spectacular up close! Looks to be an original combination.

Do you know the name of that pattern on the movement, I don't think I have seen that before either?

The serial number needs clarification for a more accurate description. In general from your pictures it is part of 8800 161A model 15 movement's produced in 1932 with 4 variants in a range of 5527801-5810550. The finish is described as "Interrupted ray 5th Pattern"

Nice find Carlos, it's a Type II-P, the last variant.

Dave, as I read it in an exploded view, the number is 5568609....

Carlos, I will add that I think this is a very beautiful movement, regardless of what it is called and I also agree with Tom....I have never seen one quite like it....

That is the correct serial number Jerry. I'd say it was "interrupted" all right. Looks like there's five patterns used here alone. I know of the common ray, fishscale, bright spotted, interrupted and there's one more? And of course, let not be confussed with the size 18 Bunn models which have there own patterns....
