Muckle Case
E. A. Munkle had a pat's on this case. I believe that he had a agreement with Rockford Watch Co. and Northwestern Railroad and don't know much of anything else. Help?

The case is reversable and can be used as a hunter or open face

The thick crystal fits the bezel in the open face position and the hollow bezel ring fits over the back of the case in the hunter position.

I don't think the idea was a success and didn't last long.

Jim,

Did you mean to say watch case company instead of railroad?

Rhett,
I don't know. Kent told me that they had Rockford in them or Northwestern. I guessed it was a railroad. I don't know much of anything about these cases

I believe they were made by the Northwestern Watch Case Company.

Edward A. Muckle was FROM Rockford, Illinois.

This may be the reference above.

His patent explains the differences between his "Magic Watch Case" and the one produced before his of the same name, and explains the differences between the two.

Ed,
I have been laughing all morning regarding the name you gave to the ebay seller--Ruler Guy.

Tony,

Glad you were amused by the "Ruler Guy" nickname, but I didn't originate it. My understanding is that distinction belongs to Jack Goldstein, late of Chapter 185.

Best Regards,

Ed
