Louis JoselowitzE.Howard series 111 Nickel serial no. 1376
I need help for info on this very low serial no. 1376 series 111. E.Howard . This movement looks extremely interesting my reasoning as follows:
1/ Low serial no.
2/ Nickel movement with beautiful Damaskeening
3/ Gold ? raised screw in jewel settings
4/ Gold ? centre Wheel
I am in the process of the restoration and have managed to source the missing parts. My only knowledge of E.Howard watches comes from articles via the internet. Any feedback would be greatfully appreciated . Found here in Cape Town South Africa. Silver Case by Brooks & Dold and probably not original to the movement ?

Buster BeckI have a lot[s] of doubt and uncertainty about this watch # 1376......
Here is a very good thread in our research on IHC185 to begin to try and help you with the answers;
https://ihc185.infopop.cc/eve/f...?r=45510755#45510755 Putting in "E. Howard Series III" in our "Find-Or-Search" feature I get 18 matches here;
https://ihc185.infopop.cc/eve/f...E.+Howard+Series+III I believe that we have enough research on the E. Howard watches to help you with hopefully most or all of your Q&A[s].
I will reserve my evaluation other than to say again, I see a lot of things I am not comfortable with but, I am not an expert.
regards,
bb

Louis JoselowitzHi Buster , Many thanks for your reply. I will be very disappointed if this turns out to be a fake.
I am posting extra pictures to help judge whether it is not genuine . Regards , Louis

Bila WirriganwaltersHi Louis,
I think the others have hit the nail on the head with a nice fake, also probably the same person or manufacturer that did the one of Mary Ann Scott's which she posted on the April 15, 2009 22:47. This is in the link that Buster posted, why I say this is in relation to the Serial numbers, thay look identical in type of style. Still a very nice looking watch though and an interesting talking point.
Cheers,
Bila
