Hamilton Melamine Marginal Minute RWS Dial
Here is a watch I won this week at Heritage auctions. It was non-running so I won it for $240 + $46 (BP) = $286. The reason I bid on it was because I haven't seen this exact dial configuration before. I have a similar single sunk marginal minute melamine dial which I think is called dial #151, but it does not have the Railway Special markings.

Any comments?

Hamilton called this dial "Numerical" and you are right, they also designated it Dial 151. It was one Hamilton's first melamine dials.

Your example is signed "Hamilton Railway Special," which is unusual. In my experience it is usually just marked "Hamilton" (see picture).

Ed,

Thanks for your input. I don't know anything else about the watch until I get it since Heritage only put the one picture into the auction listing. Maybe we could do a quiz watch on this one when I get it and can post more pictures.
