Hampden Movement versus Hamilton Screw Holes?
Does a hampden have the same placement of screws as a hamilton? I was looking at puttung a hamilton movement in a watch that has a hampden. They are the same size 18--I assume it will fit but how about the screw marks? Thank You!!!

Paul, if you are talking about open face watches it looks like the case screw holes are in the same location. Here is picture of a Hampden Special Railway and a Hamilton 926 for comparison.

This is an interesting subject since the Hamilton 18s was designed by the same man who did the Hampden 18s Railway models as I understand it. Why change something that works I guess.
