Robert SchusselRarities continue
Several weeks ago I posted pictures of a 17 jewel 16 size Grade 340 Model 4 Hampdens in OF and Hunter.
Now I am the proud owner of a 16 size 17j grade 340 OF Model 5 for a $129. It appears that about 1,000 serial numbers were reserved for this watch. The most amazing thing is that I was the only bidder on this watch.
further down I will discuss the 16 size Ohioan I also obtained.

Robert SchusselAs I mentioned I also picked up a 16 size 21j OF Model 5 adjusted 3 position Hampden Ohioan for $510.
While as not as much of a bargain as the Grade 340
I estimate that only 900 to 1,000 serial numbers were blocked for this grade. If this was a Bunn Special it could help pay for my bills for awile.
What is interesting is there are also 12 size 21j Ohioans in OF and Hunter which are as scarce as the 16 size. In fact only two examples of the 12 size Ohioan Hunter exist and I am fortunate to own one of them
According to the Hampden Watch Co. Book a 16 size Ohioan Hunter exists.
