Bud MellessMy Latest Acquisition
Hello everybody;
I thought I'd give you all a peek at my latest find. It's a Waltham 18s Crescent St.
As far as I can tell there were only 500 of these made. At least I hope I read that right.
Thanks for looking, and I hope you like it.

Claude GriffithBud I am not sure on the count but that is a nice looking Waltham hunter. Sometimes you can pick up nice ones that seem to slide under the radar. I will pick up open and hunters and that one is a keeper.

Bud MellessThanks a lot for all the kind replies. I thought it was a good find based on that criteria only. What I know about pocket watches you could hide under a dime so I have to be pretty careful when buying these things.
I've been collecting pocket watches for only a short time (less than a year) but it's fun buying and selling as I go along.

Your Watch was in run #25 of 42 runs and there were 500 movements made and yours was #476 of the run, however there were 17,200 units of that model and grade made over a 12 year period....
You have a wonderful high grade movement and one you should be proud of to add to your collection....
Congratulations..!
Regards,
Jerry

Bud MellessHi Jerry, and thanks very much for the information. I wish I knew where to research this more. I only have the ***** Information Storage thing on the Internet to go on and I must admit I don't even know how to use it properly either.
I am glad to know it's a high grade movement. Maybe I have a good eye, but my brain is way out to lunch just yet Jerry.
Thanks again
Bud
