Watch Restoration Honor Roll
This beautiful and Rare 3-finger Getty HC is "back in action" soley due to the personal collection of watch parts that have been made available to those of us working on restoration by our member Mr. Brian Cavanaugh; pwpartsetc@pwatch.com
In this case, the escape wheel was damaged beyond repair, and it is a rare part used only on 2 of the Getty models. On request, Brian located and suppled one to me and thus rescued another rare antique watch from the "scrap heap".

The escape wheeel pictured is the "old" one, and this beautiful watch is running strong again thanks to the "new" part so unselfishly made available from Brian. I believe that with cooperation among our members, we can easily develop a watch parts repository service to feedback to our membership those assets many of us have and could (should) share. The seed is already planted in our "wanted" thread, but I think we could go a little further on this and really make this group a much more valuable resource to our many conscientous Horology restorer/collector members.
Finally to that end we should start an "Honor Roll" of contributing members who have materially effected the repair and recovery of antique American watches so that I can nominate Mr Brian C. as the first Honoree! Cool
