E Howard & Co 1861 - 1871 what should I offer Pictures
All,

What is this E Howard & Co worth? What should I offer for it?

I know it depends on condition and I do not have a picture to post. The dial is perfect no hairlines, case doesn't have any dings, crystal is good, and it runs.

Manufacturer: E. Howard & Co.
Manufacturer Location: Roxbury, Massachusetts
Movement Serial Number: 9023
Model: Series III
Estimated Production Year: 1861-1871
Size: N

Thanks

You really need to invest in a price guide - this website offers a great deal on them.

For E. Howard Series III, there are about a dozen different price ranges, based on nickel vs. gilded, type of escapement, Merson's Patent or not, KW vs stem wind, type of case, etc.

I wouldn't want to suggest a price to pay based on the limited information you provided, and no photos.

Hello Douglas,

Thanks for the advice, and when I go back to the jeweler to pick up my re-plated cases I will take some pictures of it and post them.

I took some pictures and it is a key wind. I think the case is silver?

What is the seller asking ? Is that the wood E.Howard & Co box and do the numbers on the mvmt and case match any numbers on the papers in the box ? Does it run, and when was it serviced ?

regards,
bb
