Mario PaganiFather Time staff
I have a cal. 252 18s, 21j Father Time (ser.no 10813058) that was near mint until I decided to polish it. I let it straight on my oak floor and, of course, I broke the staff tip.I have ordered the part from a guy, and he sent me a just downsized telegraph pole: is there a kind person who could supply me the right part ? The jewels seems to be ok, strange enough.
The cost of the part is not a problem, expecially if you take into account the bill of the watchmaker in my Country.
Thanks a lot for your help.
PS: There is a moral too: I came to the conclusion that a dirty good timekeeper is always better than a higly polished corpse.

Brian C.Mario,
Your watch should take an #857 balance staff. They made two staffs with this number, a long hub and a short hub. I can supply either one or both. E-mail me. Just make sure you put something watch related in the subject matter.
Brian C.

Mario PaganiIHC185 do is a great place ! people should know.
Well, Brian, put them on a envelope and let me know my dues: data in my profile are right. I'll transfer you the money via PayPAL.
Incidentally, just to tell you a funny story, when I gave to a watchmaker here my 1943 4992B to check he said that there was the bevel pinion gone, and that one must be able to walk on waters before getting such a part "1943 ... 1943 ..." mumbled. I got the part, and now my 4992B is an excellent timekeeper.
Fancy his face, when he will be confronted with a 1903 staff ...
Thanks a lot, gentlemen, really a privilege being here, in the true etymological sense
