Tom BrownIllinois Pennsylvania
I have noticed that in the price guide there is mention of the Illinois Pennsylvania Specials from 17 to 23 jewel 16s models.
I was wondering about this model that is only labeled Pennsylvania 17 jewels. In searching this site I can find no mention of this model. I was wondering if anyone had further information on them.
Thanks
Tom

Roland GlennTom your watch maybe goes along the same lines as my Arlington Special. Both being Getty movements. My dial isn't the original though, and I've been looking for some time to get one with just Arlington on it.

Roland GlennMines a side winder, so not RR class even though it's lever set.

Tom BrownThanks Rowland.
I found a little more on the Pennsylvania model, apparently it is a grade 176 model 5 & a total of 1,310 were made of that grade & of those only one run had the Pennsylvania markings. I don't know if the entire run had those markings but there were only 200 in the run.
The grade 176 was adjusted to isochronism, temp & 4 positions.

Buster BeckThat looks to me to be the real deal and its quite a watch, I'm thinking. From 1903 I am fairly sure it would of been RRApproved. Nice watch and the dials are priceless
