Larry LamphierPROPER HAMILTON DIAL?
Can anyone tell me if the dial on the right is common. I don't remember seeing one with the minute markers pointing out like that.
I have seen them on the Illinois, and the Elgins.

Buster BeckLawrence,
After Hamilton assumed Illinois in 1928 many changes came about. In the early to mid 30's, some of the Hamilton Heavy Gothic dials were tried with the Illinois style of "Arrows Out" which formerly was seen on the Sangamo Special dials.
Today when we run across one of these "variant" dials, they just really stand out. Some put a premium on these dials, as they well should with any variant

Many changes, were implemented in the "new" Hamilton factory from 1929-1939 that were strongly influenced by the then defunct Illinois company

And your dial is one of them

These are nice finds today, congratz

bb
