Joseph BooneMy new watch cabinet
Just thought I'd share. My Stepfather is a very good woodworker so we made a good looking watch display cabinet. I like it and its a good way to show off or get easy access to your favorite pieces.
I'm still playing with hooks/hangers but I think it looks nice so far

Roger J. NolfeDon't know how I missed this post, but the piece Ed Kitner built for my Rosberg bench fits great and compliments it beautifully as well as being very functional. I also have one of Ed's display cabinets and it is a beauty also.
March 14, 2014, 11:31
Eric UnseltI missed it, too.
Great work, Ed. I like the decorative kerf inlays using the darker stock at the joints of the drawer trays.
March 14, 2014, 12:30
Dave TurnerSome beautiful work here.
Edward, The wood in that wall cabinet is gorgeous. What is it?
Dave Turner
March 14, 2014, 15:47
Edward KitnerDave, it is Tiger Maple.
When I mixed the water base stain I thought I had it dark enough, forgot Maple does not take stain like most other woods. Even with 3 applications I could not get it as dark as I wanted.

Dave TurnerFrom these pictures I think the color is fine. And too, with time it will age a little darker.

March 14, 2014, 20:30
Edward KitnerJust regular butt hinges mounted on the door frame end and outside of the case.
Nice weather you are having down here Gary. I am leaving in the morning to go back to "Artic" NY.
Eric and Roger said they would keep it nice and cold for me so I didn't miss anything
