Can someone tell me what this is.
I found this and I have no idea what it is. Maybe a Fusee? I don't know. I want to sell it on Ebay or here if someone wants it but I want to make sure this is not some valuable rare movement. I don't think so but it never hurts to ask before I sell it.
Thanks.

P.S. I can't read the big fancy writing. The last part is "pool" but I can't figure out the first part.

I can not see an extra barrel. Or a chain. so to me the photos show it as a lever escapement pocket watch.

If some one can prove me wrong please do so.

I think it is marked Williams and Appleton Liverpool. I will see if I can find them in the book.

I do not see a crown wheel. So It can not be a verge.

It is a British 1850's vintage Fusee driven under hair sprung movment with solid gold balance wheel and a Pinned Plate construction.

All the naming and citys etc. as engraved on the plate apply.

The Dial, Hands, middle and hour wheels, setting arbor and Fusee Chain are missing.

It does say Williams and Appleton N0. 18521 I have not would it but if you twist it a little it will start ticking and the balance wheels starts spinning for 30 seconds or so.

Harry I have a little project going with my granddaughters to turn some misc. watch parts into jewelry, mainly earrings. maybe you could sell it on ebay for craft purposes!

Hello Deacon,

If no one hear wants it I will. I had rather give it to a IHC185 member that needs or wants it. If no one wants it I will put it on Ebay. If you want it for your granddaughters project let me know and it's yours. Not to pretty though with the brass color.
