This is a 19J, adjusted to 5 Positions Elgin, BW Raymaond, and I can't see the serial number.
It looks like these were made in grade 240, however in the book there is one listed as 19j that has a small winding indicator????

Tell me please if this has one, or about this watch if you know.

I'm also sure it's for the Canada market and will post the dial in the next post.

If your watch is an 18 size B W Raymond, then it is a Grade 240.
Elgin made these with and without a wind indicator. If your example has one, then there will be a small subsidiary dial under the 12 that will show the number of hours since the watch was last wound.

I agree, and of course that is NOT a wind indicator movement.

Elgin Wind Indicators, for that matter those from Waltham and Rockford as well are very interesting, they are high on my list of personal favorite watches.

Sheila, one sure way to spot an 18-size Elgin Wind Indicator movement is by the little gear you see oddly placed on the movement in the image below. These fascinating watches were produced in such small numbers that Elgin never bothered to come up with specially marked plates for them. The indicator mechanism which was driven by that little gear was installed by literally drilling right through the Jewel-count marking which makes for a very strange appearance.
