Gary E. FosterNice Mike, if you ever watch Pawn Stars, one showed up there a while back. The pawn guy bought it, wasn't running, he brought in a clock expert to check it out, turned out there was a small piece of paper wedged under the balance wheel to hold it stationary during shipment, supposedly from the Hamilton factory.

Jim BielefeldtI have had the pleasure of holding one and replacing the pin set lock plate for a rather quiet IHC185 member and a good friend of mine, William (Bill) Ely. Always remember to push in the pin when pushing in the crown after setting it or the little lever plate can break.
The Hamilton 22's are absolutely huge and one of the finest watches I have ever worked on.

Edward L. Parsons, Jr.With one of these you get a fine timepiece and the box is a fine example of the cabinet maker's art as well.

Donald TrumbleThe one on Pawn Stars was a Model 21 which is the Key Wind, Key Set, chain drive, fusee, Ship's Chronometer with helical hairsping and Detent Escapement.
Mike's outstanding condition watch is the Model 22 which is a 35-size, 21-Jewel Deck Watch which when gimbaled as shown also served Chronometer duty.

Jim, thanks for the tip about the setting pin.
