Good Morning,

I found this watch at eBuy Turkey.
Is it false or original?
Thank you,
Bulent

Very nice. I've bought some Waltham's from over that way. Just got to make sure that the movements are clean as they (ebay sellers) always clean every part has be checked, cleaned etc. and some times they are pretty rough and worn. But this one looks 100% together and nice hands too.

I'll agree with the other comments. From what I can see in the images it looks like a legitimate and quite nice example.

Hello Bulent,

Your movement number 3435067 fits neatly into a range of numbers 3434091 through 3435767 which are all documented sightings of confirmed 12-size, 19-Jewel, Open-Face, Nickel Plates, Model 6, Pendant-Set, Adjusted to 5 Positions "Paul Revere" movements. Being a "5-Positions" movements means the highest quality in fit and finish went into its construction.

The comprehensive listings that confirm the authenticity of your watch are on page 159 of the Hernick-Arnold book on Hampden Watches which I recommend to any serious Hampden collector. This book is the true authority as the movements listed are not from guess-work as some listings found on the internet are, but rather it is comprised of actual sightings.

I agree with Roger, Dana, Roland and Chris, the watch overall appears to be in remarkable condition and I especially like the dial.

Paul Revere was a patriot and heroic figure in the American Revolution, many of the Hampden movements were named for such individuals giving special significance to them. Click here: Paul Revere for additional information and background.

Congratulations on a nice find,

Lindell
