Tom BrownMy guess would be they were a jeweler in Decimal, Manitoba, Canada. Is the dial marked the same?
I will see what I can find.

Tom BrownWell David I am not as slick as I thought I was, now you really got me looking.
It looks like the Sharpe's were Laban L (Sharp) Sharpe born about 1842 in NB Canada, his son Allen J., born about 1867 in NB.
In the 1901 Canada census they were in Saint John and Laban was listed as a jeweler and Allen as an optician.
In 1911 the same information is listed for both of them.
If I can find anything that links them to the word Decimal I will let you know.

Tom BrownThis doesn't answer your question & you might not care but here is an ad of his from the 1889-1896 New Brunswick City Directory. It shows he went into business in 1864.

David AbbeThe watch looks to be a 1920-30's Longines. Mebbe one of the LL Sharpe &
Sons had a shop in Decimal by then.

Tom BrownNow I am not sure Decimal is a place in Canada, if you look at google satellite maps of Decimal, Manitoba, Canada all it shows is a forest with some lakes near by, I can not make out any signs of human occupation.
Also searching records I can not find anyone ever listed as living in Decimal, Manitoba. But it does show up as a place. I might have added confusion to this entire topic. Sorry

Donald TrumbleI'm as puzzled as Tom and from reading Tom's posts he is rarely puzzled.

After looking at the usual maps I have come to the conclusion they may have named their watch movement for Decimal, a beautiful, unspoiled area.
This link is the most interesting. Click for:
Traveling Luck for Decimal, Manitoba, Canada Once in to the website we find "Populated Locality" it says: "an area similar to a locality but with a small group of dwellings or other buildings." and to me it looks like a beautiful nearly untouched area where camping, hunting and fishing would have to be grand. Many lakes and waterways are shown, truly beautiful. There is one nearby hotel listed.
Here is the Rocky Shore of Falcon Lake:
