Appears to be either a school project or employee made watch.

Regards! Mark

It states E. W. C. under his name. So I'm guessing he worked for Elgin. I'm sure Tom would have it figured out in 10 mins or so.

As soon as I saw this I started looking, I had thought I found him but it took a while to connect the dots.

Looks like he was Emerson D. Krogue his obit says he was born Jan 4 1900 but his passport from 1916 shows his date of birth as Jan 4, 1896. He was born in Bloomington Idaho. He died Jan 20, 1976 in Salt Lake.

His obit below states he was an Elgin College Graduate & a certified watchmaker.

I forgot to post that the obit is from The Salt Lake Tribune Page 33 01/22/1976.

The part of the ad shown below is from the same paper but dated 12/11/1948, it is for the jeweler Mr. Krogue worked for, he is mentioned in the ad as their expert watch man.

Not a very good photo but this is from his 1916 passport app.

Neat watch, what I find interesting is the "No 40" marking, Could there be 39 others out there?

Very nice watch! It is marked 1927. Could that be the year it was made/modified?

Regards, Krister.
