At Last! A brand new supply of 1.5 & 1.35mm Schott B270i crown glass. Ordered before Christmas. Shipped via sea freight from Hamburg to NY, then by truck from NY to Oakland. It barely fit through the front gate. Each 22 x 35" sheet had to be carried up stairs one at a time.

Each sheet is laid out on a grid ...

...and reduced to smaller, more manageable pieces. Full sheets are quite vulnerable.

Boxed for easy storage.

A test batch of 50mm convex blanks. No problems and easily workable.

This is the first finished crystal from this batch. My first time using 1.35mm and I think it makes the perfect mid weight crystal. Schott B270i is outstanding material!

Someone else here was asking if I'd do a promotion on these. I told him that it was unlikely, but I did add that if I was able to get everything up the stairs and safely processed without incident, that my mood may change. As it turns out, I experienced zero breakage and my first batch in the kiln came out perfect. In addition, the finished look is beyond compare ...and I am beyond pleased.
