Robert Lee MillironUltrasonic Cleaners Advice Sought
I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the small jewelry type ultrasonic cleaners on watch parts? If you have, did it work properly? What particular type was it? Did you use professional watch cleaner and rinse? Thank you in advance for sharing your experience.

Thomas M. CusackI use a small L&R ultrasonic machine . works great for the wash and rinse. If you only work on one pocket watch at a time !

David E. Booth, Jr.I started years ago, working on clocks, and have only recently graduated to watches. I have a one gallon Quantrex that I use for clocks. For watch parts, I bought two gold micro screen electric coffee pot filter baskets. I put the watch parts in them, then place that basket into the Quantrex clock basket. SO far, I have only done watches as small as 6/0. I suppose if I start messing about with any smaller ones, I will have to break down and purchase a real watch cleaning machine, because I can see that even the fine gold filter mest might be too coarse for really small parts.
