This one is kind of cool,. It's a one of 1000 grade 675. It is marked "Adjusted 3 Positions" and Double Roller.

The dial and the case are excellent. Thanks John Flahive !

Now can we see the 950 wind indicators? I know there are 3 out there out of 200 Cool

I don't really know about the model number, but it is an 18sz, 17 jewel, S/N 846970, which makes it about a 1911 watch.

Hi Donald,

That is a grade 938, model 9 that should have a two tone movement.

Don,
It does indeed have a two tone movement! Thanks for the info, I will put that in my records.

I don't collect Rockfords but I did find two in the junk bag. Chris Abell fixed up one, the other has no hairspring. 15j pretty pedestrian example.....

Rockfords are so under-appreciated, it's really great to see this topic showing off some outstanding examples. I just sit and stare at Charlie's magnificent two-tone, it sure is a beauty.

A big personal favorite of mine is the beautiful Rockford 900 with that giant elliptical 24th jewel setting. Until I saw Jeffrey's 900 with his 24-hour "Rockford" dial mine was the only dial similar to that I had seen. Interesting to see variations, the dial on my 542548 which you see below marked "Rockford Watch Co." is evidently earlier than Jeff's but shares the same design characteristics.

Rockford Watch Company dial is a standout...

Here's a 12-size Rockford, definitely not a high grade movement.

I would have though a model 6 would have shown up by now. Anyhow here is one. It has what I would call a simple, but elegant dial.

Here is the movement of the model 6 with the exposed escapement. It is a right angle lever. The watch is in a gold filled Dueber hunting case.
