Eric UnseltI thought I had a K&D staking set for $30, but then Phil started cheering the other guy on, so I finally got it for $110.
The box was a mess, but all the original hardware was there. I stripped it, broke it apart, floated the panels through the drum sander, re-assembled it, and sprayed it with a medium-cherry dye stain with a Polycrylic binder.
Notice the different woods? Fir of some kind above the hasp, and poplar toward the bottom.

Eric UnseltEverything had rust scale on it, but it looked like a nearly complete set. I chucked every stake and stump into the lathe and polished them clean.
I need flat stake #109. Anybody got one?
