gold-lettered Bunn Special 23J movement

Are they scarce/rare?

The 18 size 23J came in gold lettered...the BLACK lettered 18 size is scarce....only 1000 made first of the run

The 16 size 23J gold lettered Bunn Special is not rare but a lot less of these were made for only a few years than the common red one...and most if not all were marked JEWELED BARREL on them. They usually command 150-200+ more than the regular ones and IMO were a higher quality watch.

Same applies for the "regular" 16 Size 19J Bunn, except the 19J 60 hr model.

Nice one , Illinois made some beautiful watches, and this one has more jewels than a jewelry store !
