Here is a dial I haven't seen before. Anybody have comments?

It's an early "Red Ball" dial normally found on the lower grade movements of the earliar period from about 1910 to 1915 or so and would not have come on this 1925 Sangamo, It is a 16 size dial on a 17 size watch.

Thanks Steve, I suppose 17 size dials are scarce as hen's teeth.

Difficult to find in respectable condition unless you buy another watch with one on it.

Steve, I've got a couple of these Red Ball dials on 16s watches; would the feet line up for a 17s movement?

They most certainly will. The auction above is an example of that and you see that in many instances on ebay listings. If you look at the above listed auction with one of the photos of the bezel off, you can see part of the pillar plate exposed just inside the ring of the frame. What you see there is the difference between a 16 size dial and what would be covered by a 17 size dial.
