18s PL Bunn, Barker & Friesens, Cincinnatti, OH
As luck would have it I won a double signed PL Bunn listed on eBay by the Private Label name; "Barker & Friesens, Cincinnatti, OH".

My search of the(apparent) s/n1271651 reports a model 6 Bunn of 3360 pcs total production, many as specialty names and PL's.
The eBay listing is;
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...geName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

My question is; If B&F had 100 P/L Bunns made in their name, I would expect they were RR time inspectors as well. Anybody?

I find no mention of Barker-Friesens being watch inspectors but I do find them as perhaps a company that ordered watches with their PL logo on them. Also the book says this is a Bunn Mod.4 instead of Mod.6 ?? I think the difference in them is the Mod.4 is P/S and the Mod.6 is L/S. If it is a L/S then perhaps the book is wrong and it would make it a Mod.6 Confused
I also find the link to be non-working as Tom stated.

I changed the link and it works now. I reached the seller in NE Michigan and confirmed the S/N IS 1271651 AND, it IS Pendant Setting!!
So . . . Megger Ehrhardt Vol 2 (p347) "Blue Books says;
"100 PC Model 4 Bunn O Pendant set."

Then on P83 it goes on to say of this one;
17RJ-0N4P 150 (made) RRG "Bunn" EA455 $200-$250

The other database refers to this as a Model 6 which is the model 4 in lever setting, I fully concur with Meggers Ehrhardt on the model 4 because that matches the Townsend (from gold book) sketch showing the barrel cover fully covering the motor barrel.

Tha all said, the other database AGREES with this being form a 100 Piece run and errs (most likely) by lumping these into the model 6 Lever setting watches.

I have to agree that with it being a pendant setting movement it would have to be a model 4 and shares the same finish on it as the Bunn. The big question was this entire run of 100 for a private label or were some of them marked Bunn as well.

It also looks quite a bit like the 16 jewel Bunn that was also available as a model 4.

There was also a 17 jewel Bunn model 4 that there were only 100 of made. They were made in two runs of 50 each...one in 1892 and the other in 1893.
