Waltham 12s Colored Dial?
Hi

I do not recall seeing to many 12s watches with colored dials. Is this dial more common then I think?

All comment welcome...

Keith

I am not sure what you mean by "colored dial." If you mean anything other than plain white enamel or plain white or silver metal with painted or applied numerals, I think "colored" dials are common on 12-size watches. For example, of my 23 Hamilton 10 or 12-size watches, 6 are "colored," i.e., not just plain white enamel or plain white or silver metal.

If by "colored," you mean a fancy enamel dial, they are less common on 12-size watches. I think this was because the heyday of fancy enamel dials was before the heyday of 12-size watches. For example, none of my Hamiltons have fancy enamel dials. However, among my Elgin 12-size watches, there are fancy enamel dials on a few, including a Grade 189, and a Grade 190.
