David FlegelAnother mark to identify
Does any one recognize this mark. The mark across from this one is in the shape of a football with JWC in the middle, if that helps any.

Tom Weinstockare you talking about the crescent moon and crown on the right side of the picture?

Tom WeinstockFrom what I can tell online, it appears to be German.
I was looking through these sites:

Bobby Joe WilliamsonDavid, The 2012 Price Guide pp 456 indicates the Crescent Moon and Crown is a German silver mark.

Richard M. JonesDavid I have a German watch case with that same silver mark and I agree with Bobby Jo that it is a German Hallmark and I think from the second Empire (1871-1918).

Jon HartYou Got Silver my friend...
Hard to tell from the picture, looks like 4 numbers at the 12 postion. Could be .8000 or .9000 for the purity of the silver content.

David FlegelI tried several different positions to get the other marks to come out clearer but it did not work. The mark on page 456 is the correct one. The mark right above it is also on my watch, makes it 800 silver, this also agrees with the number 0.800 on the watch. I also have a zenith with the same marks.
Now there is one more mark I cannot get a picture of that is in the shape of a football with the letters JWC inside. any ideas
