Burlington 21j watch
Hi all,
Has anyone seen a Burlington Dial like this one, it just looks strange to me. This is a 12s watch.
Everything else looks good, Burlington case, mvmt,
and not in bad shape, solid bow, case closes tightly, maybe to tight as it is difficult to open the dust cover, winds and sets right, and keeps pretty good time.
Any help on what you think about the dial will help, also is the monogram F J ?
Thanks,
Bill

dial. Heres a better pic of the dial, the 10 is the contentious issue, but it feels the same with the cover off as the rest of the numerals !!

Bill, Per the serial number 3752342 you gave me this one was evidently "missed by the experts" at Ashland(a.k.a. the price guide). It is from a single 1,000 Piece run of Grade 275 21J Movements produced in 1920, making it a 2 star rare watch which looks all original to me and should hit the price guide for at least $350.00.

As for the monogram, BWC had a color filled monogramming service they offered mail order buyers. This could well be original to that as well.

The hands look like the luminescent type but with no radium in them. That is an unusual dial as well.
