David AbbeThere ARE "exceptions, a 23J Record
Today this 23J Record "fell" to my very conservative winning bid. These, as some other very good Swiss Watchmakers (Pierce) do not show up in the Swiss section of the price guide but this is mentioned in the Ball section. So while it is a Swiss watch, the connection between Ball and Record is a matter of "Record" for posting in "pocket watch discussions".
Record watches are quality watches made and this one will be inspected, cleaned if need be and gifted to a most deserving friend. a rare 12s 23 Jewel masterpiece.

Roger J. NolfeI agree Dave, the Record watches are very nice. I have a customers 16s Ball Record on my bench that I have serviced and it runs beautifully, EXCEPT that it is missing the winding stem that is part of the movement (see pics). The missing part goes between the case winding stem and the movement. If anyone knows where I can get this part it would be greatly appreciated.

Bruce ByrdI notice that a lot of the Swiss watches we see seem very blah.. What strikes me is the lack of design or style. I'm not saying they're not good watches... Just not very appealing.. Just flapping my gums

Paul D. TrombleyDave,
Is that a pin set or the flap to open the back cover?
I'm a fan of pin set watches.
