Is than an International Dial restoration? As for what is right, as I remember some Studebaker dials are so signed Studebaker.

Peter, this is how I understand things, not from practical experience but from reading on this site.

The 8 Adjustment mail order "Studedaker" had a Studebaker dial while the higher grade "The Studebaker" had a South Bend dial.

Peter I agree with Lorne and Dave as the mail order was usually signed Studebaker and I have owned 2 of the 8adj models that both had Studebaker dials signed like your dial. Further I recall both were factory metal dials. I am not a Studebaker expert however.

Peter, Right to left:

I picked up a South Bend 19J 3P M219 Trolley watch a couple months ago. Dave blessed the mechanism and Earl took care of the COA. It was my first South Bend, I thought they sold refrigerators before I got here. Turns out, they made some pretty incredible watches.

Then I stumbled in to a Studebaker 8p, the one in the middle. It needs to be restaffed and is sporting the wrong dial, but it came available for a song. This sent me back to the listings to find a dial.

The watch on the left is today's arrival. It is an M227, beautiful cross hatch damaskeen RGJS, GT, DR, 21J, 5p, RR watch sporting the Studebaker dial I need.

It is my understanding, the metal Studebaker dial should be on the Studebaker 8p. The metal South Bend dial will stay on the Trolley watch and the Enamel dial will go on the 227.

I got the 227 with wrong dial as well.
