Jon HartingLook Sheila, a new multi-color Elgin!
I just aquired this watch last night. I thought that some of you, especialy Sheila (our Elgin fanatic), would like to see it.
It is an 0 size, multi-color case with "Jennie" engraved in the shield on the front cover and a diamond in the middle on the back. The different colors of gold look much more spectacular in person than in my poor photographs. I only wish that mine were as good as Lin's. It only has a minimal amount of wear, if any, visible and winds, runs and keeps accurate time. The hinges and bow are tight and everything apprears pretty close to new.

Mike HodgeVery nice watch. Love the dial and hands. Is the case solid gold or GF? I got a similar Waltham for my wife but without the snazzy dial. Thanks for sharing.

Jon HartingHi Mike,
The case is GF. It says, "GUARANTEED, ESSEX, 14K, SUPERIOR, 25 YEARS".
It's really attractive.
Thanks,
Jon

Sheila GilbertVery Nice!
The case
Courvoisier-Wilcox MFG. Co. (1875-1892)
21-23 Maiden Lane New York
Guaranteed Essex 14k Superior 25 yr is a nice heavy gold filled case. They make beautiful cases from what I have seen, and this one is no exception.
Now, if it had a Pansy in it, it would be mine!

Jon HartingHi Sheila,
Thanks for the info on the case. They did do an excellent job on it.
Sorry about the lack of a Pansy!
