Hey Edward,
The main question I have is why the serial number of this watch seems to apply to an 11 jewel model 1859. The model 1859 is from what I can find,a key wind and set from the back,and is a 3/4 plate movement. None of the parts look to be interchangeable with this watch,and I checked all the plates and parts of this watch while I had it apart,and all the numbers match. Seems pretty odd,but that was a long time ago,and somebody messed up,somewhere.
