922 E Authenticity?
This is a 992E that I'd like authenticity opinions on. Based on what I have read here, I'd say the dial is an issue. I'll post other pics now that I think I've figured it out

Thanks to Lindell for his help with posting images AND the help in navigating the website.

This watch is in an authentic WGF #2 case and the color does not show well. Comments are welcome, but you can bet Lindell staightened me out on some issues. Wow, what a forum!

one thing I did notice about this pocket watch are the hands and the minute hand is a Canadian 24-hour and and the hour hand is a spade, the proper one for this dial.

Besides the hands- as already mentioned. I think Hamilton stopped using a script dial before the 1930s. I can not remember seeing any other 992E with a script dial.

I am sure someone will have the exact dates for the dials

Yes, the script dial will go when I can locate a correct one to purchase or trade.

Mike, the earliest reference to the "block-letters" signature Hamilton dial is the 1918 advertisement you see below. Based upon that it is fair to say they began phasing out the script dials around that time.

Thanks Pete, but I did locate one, (paid more) and Rob Carter sent a hand. I'll post a pic as soon as I change the parts.
